Jimena
Learning Support Specialist
Hi, I’m Jimena!
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology in México and am on the verge of completing my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology in Berlin. My passion for working with children led me to pursue two Diplomas of Education—one focused on cognitive-behavioral therapy for children and adolescents and the other on intervention for neurodevelopmental disorders.
I have worked in the children and youth psychology setting throughout my studies. I served as an Elementary School Psychologist for an International School in México, offering counseling to children and their families, conducting psycho-educational evaluations, delivering classes on emotional education, and providing support to students with learning difficulties or special educational needs. Additionally, I’ve worked with autistic children and adolescents, as well as children with ADHD and emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties. My responsibilities included early intervention, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), counseling, and coaching for parents of children on the spectrum. My passion lies in observing how children acquire adaptive, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral skills that enhance their daily lives.
In 2022, I made the move to Berlin to further develop personally and professionally. The intercultural nature of the city and its vibrant international community have both captivated and inspired me. I am excited about the opportunity to work with children and families from diverse backgrounds and making a positive impact on their lives.
I am from México and am fluent in both Spanish and English.
