Hi, I'm Julia! I am a licensed clinical social worker currently residing in Germany. After completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance at Arizona State University, I pursued my true passion for helping others by obtaining a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington.
Throughout my career, I have worked in various capacities, assisting children, teenagers, families, and couples. My experience includes conducting individual and family sessions both on-site and virtually, facilitating school social skills groups, engaging in substance use prevention and intervention in middle and high schools, as well as providing hospital social work services.
My practice is LGBTQ+ inclusive, and I approach my clients through a social justice and trauma-informed lens. In my therapeutic approach, I incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy, drawing from basic sciences, including biology, to demystify problems and treatments. I strongly believe that each client is unique and requires a personalized approach to establish a vital client-counselor rapport that fosters positive change.
My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, parent guidance, trauma, transitions, grief, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, as well as relationships and intimacy.
I am available for online sessions.
I am an American and I am fluent in English.
