Georgios

Hi there, I am Georgios! I was born in the magical city of Athens, Greece. I have an M.Sc. in Clinical Developmental Psychology & Parental Counseling from the State University of Padua in Italy. I also have a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Panteion State University in Athens, and a bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Perugia in Italy. 

I worked for more than 10 years in the field of social risk prevention. Since 2010, I've worked as a therapist for children and parents. I have been living and working in Berlin since 2015 and have recently moved back to Athens, Greece.

My professional approach is based on active listening and an ongoing exploration of solutions to problems, thoughts, and emotions. I focus on the present and the resources available, without ignoring the impact that the past has on us. 

I take on a systemic approach which has it's strength on the analysis and exploration of the "system family" and its surroundings. My solution orientation approach also allows for fast relief from heavy symptoms and new pathways in family life. 

I specialize in: Anxiety/Depression Reduction, Solutions-Focused Counseling, Life Transitions (i.e., grief/loss, moving abroad, etc.), Trauma/Post-traumatic Stress, Anxiety, Parent Counseling, School-based Interventions, Drug Abuse, Domestic Violence & Abandonment
