Hi, I’m Dasha!

I am an academic and teen coach currently living in the Netherlands. I have a degree in Educational Psychology, a Masters in Heritage and Interpretation and I am about to start a PhD in History. I’ve been an educator for all of my career. I have worked in international schools teaching various IGCSE and IBDP subjects, such as history, global perspectives, psychology, world arts and cultures, and theory of knowledge.

My last job was at a United World College where I taught students from all over the world. My strengths are supporting students with a range of learning styles and needs, and helping students to recognize and understand their own way of learning.

As an academic coach, I am good at guiding students towards deeper learning of concepts, and connecting ideas in a meaningful way. I also help students build the skills they need for academic success, such as research and academic writing. I am originally from Belarus but I have also lived in India, Canada and the Philippines before relocating to the Netherlands.

I speak English, Belarusian, Russian and some Dutch.
