Hi, I am Maria-Amalia, a licensed psychologist with a Master of Arts in “Applications of Psychology in Education,” specializing in “Alternative Psychopedagogical Approaches.” I earned both degrees from the University of Crete and have recently moved to Berlin.
For over 14 years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children, guiding them through their educational journey. In the past four years, I’ve served as a School Psychologist, collaborating with over 20 schools in Heraklion, Crete, spanning both primary and secondary institutions. In my role as a School Psychologist, I have dedicated myself to supporting children facing emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges. My approach is rooted in respect for both the children and their families, with the aim of nurturing the best in each individual.
I firmly believe in the power of collaborative partnerships with parents and families. Together, we can create a united front of support and guidance for each child, ensuring that strategies and interventions seamlessly extend from school to home. This approach not only fosters a deeper understanding of each child’s needs but also empowers parents with the tools and knowledge to continue the support beyond the classroom.
In addition to my role as a School Psychologist, I’ve designed and implemented a diverse range of educational and environmental programs, including experiential initiatives like sand sculpture, rhythm exploration, theatrical play, hidden treasure hunts, storytelling, and more! These creative approaches have not only equipped children with essential life skills but have also ignited a deep passion for learning. Concurrently, I’ve conducted targeted interventions for children grappling with learning difficulties and ADHD, drawing upon my expertise to provide tailored support and foster their academic and personal growth.
I am from Greece, and I speak Greek, English, and German.

Hi! I am Mattia and I have been working as an Occupational Therapist for over seven years. I live and work in Italy, where I am passionate about helping people regain autonomy and improve their quality of life through personalized, client-centered care.
I earned my degree in Occupational Therapy in 2017 from the University of Chieti, and in 2023 I completed a Master’s degree in Neurorehabilitation at Sapienza University of Rome. Over the years, I have developed strong expertise in supporting adult patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions.
More recently, I have also been working with children with specific learning disabilities and ADHD, creating tailored strategies to support their development both at school and in daily life. In my clinical practice, I use the CO-OP approach (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupation), which helps children build problem-solving skills to overcome everyday challenges and thrive in school-related tasks.
My professional focus includes activities of daily living training, school and parent consulting, fine and gross motor skills development, social-emotional regulation, mindfulness, and neurodevelopmental difficulties. I also integrate elements of art therapy into my treatment when appropriate.
My motto is: “There is always a way to do what we wish to do.”

Anger Management
Hi! I’m Naomi Tokatly.
I’m an art therapist from Israel, currently based in Berlin.
I hold a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from the University of Haifa, Israel. Since 2017, I have been engaged in a variety of educational roles supporting children’s learning and development, and since 2022, I have been providing therapeutic and one-on-one support. I have gained experience through both individual and group therapy sessions, as well as in my role as an one-on-one assistant. In addition, I have worked in educational programs in museums, collaborating with schools and working with children with special needs. Across these roles, I have supported children with diverse emotional, behavioral, and developmental profiles, including autism, ADHD, DMDD, ODD, and challenges related to emotional regulation, social interaction, anger management, anxiety and self-esteem. My experience includes working with children from kindergarten through the end of elementary school, ages 4-12.
I believe deeply in the power of art as a language- a way for children to express what may be too complex or difficult to put into words. Through creative exploration, art becomes a bridge that helps them connect with their inner world, process emotions, and discover their own ways of understanding and growth. The therapy room, and the art within it, offer each child a blank page, a safe, open space to bring themselves as they are and express what feels true to them.
I offer sessions in Hebrew and English, and am passionate about creating a safe, creative, and nurturing space where healing and self-expression can flourish through art.

Identity & self-esteem
Hello, my name is Rena Marie!
I am a dedicated educator and counselor who has worked with children and teens ages 7–23 in some of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most vulnerable communities since 2002. I hold a BA in History from the University of San Francisco and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Drama Therapy, from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
My professional experience includes serving as a middle school counselor at an academic independent school in San Francisco, developing programs for young adult basic education, writing wellness curriculum for middle school summer programs, mentoring college students at the University of California, Berkeley, and leading professional development trainings for educators and mental health professionals. My most popular workshops include “Movement, Nutrition, and Mental Health,” “Practicing Joy,” and “Vicarious Trauma Toolkit.” I work with children and teens of all ages, specializing in anxiety, transitions, social skills, and mindfulness practices.
In addition to my counseling work, I am an actor, dancer, and teaching artist. I currently teach weekly dance classes in Lisbon and lead both local and global retreats. I believe the arts are inherently therapeutic and can be powerful tools for healing and wellness.
Some ways the arts support mental health include:
- Increased self-awareness
- Opportunities for self-expression
Improved self-regulation - Reduced stress and anxiety (especially when practiced for joy rather than evaluation)
- Enhanced cognitive functioning and neuroplasticity
In June 2025, my family moved to Portugal from the United States. The decision to relocate my 14-year-old at the start of secondary school was thoughtful and intentional. In preparation, we focused on both the exciting opportunities and the challenges ahead. As a family, we continue to create space to process these challenges and find creative solutions together. This lived experience has given me a unique understanding of how to support teens during major transitions - especially those involving a new culture, new language, and new educational system.
I speak English and am currently learning Portuguese.

Hi I'm Ruthie! I'm an academic coach and learning specialist with over 15 years of experience. My specialty is using interactive practices to support the learning and development of people of all ages.
I hold two master's degrees - the first is in Art & Design for Applied Learning from The Rhode Island School of Design. The second is a diploma in Embodied Dramaturgy/ Devised Theatre from Arthaus Berlin. I'm proud to have worked internationally since 2005, using theatre and applied arts practices for social change. I'm passionate about facilitating workshops and lectures that help educators and learning specialists use interactive practices to support English, Math, higher-order learning skills, and STEM fluency. I've been an Artist in Residence and Guest Facilitator at Brown University, Antioch College, The Rhode Island School of Design, and The City University of New York.
I believe that interactive learning is the key to engaging with young people. My training, facilitation, and pedagogy looks beyond the standard, spotlighting how educators and families can support young people with ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, and processing differences. This specialty in education and creative engagement has led much of my curriculum building, professional development for educators, and camp programming. I believe learning environments and camps are places to engage with “the new and challenging” while celebrating and elevating the special things that make each young person unique.
At Linden during the academic year, my focus is on supporting participants of all ages with English, academic writing, reading, literature, and general math support. I can also help with studies in the Humanities, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and beginner to advanced essay and thesis writing. If you're a young person or a family looking for a partner who can provide support, techniques, and interactive learning practices to help with decoding, comprehension, and problem-solving skills, I'm here for you.
I'm originally from Maine, and English is my first language, but I can also help participants with B2-level French. I'm based in Berlin but travel regularly for workshops and programming internationally. I'm happy to teach in a hybrid setting, both online and in person in Berlin.
