Hello! I’m Michael.
I’m a dual-licensed marriage and family therapist and professional clinical counselor currently based in San Francisco, California. I hold an MA in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. Presently, I work with high-risk youth in a crisis stabilization unit and run a small private practice.
Over the last several years, I've supported children, adolescents, and young adults across a range of settings and life challenges. I have a particular passion for working with LGBTQ+ youth and young people navigating identity, masculinity, sexuality, and belonging. I also bring deep experience working with neurodivergent youth and young people of color.
I bring warmth, directness, and genuine commitment to understanding my clients' experiences. My approach is strengths-based, solution-focused, and highly relational.I use motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and narrative techniques to meet each person where they are. I specialize in supporting stress and burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, school avoidance and academic planning.
Outside of my work, I like tennis, bees, and music. I’m American and speak English.
