Hi, I'm Johanna! I'm a registered Child Psychologist and Play Therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and schools across Australia and internationally. I am currently based in Australia after several wonderful years living and working in Bali, Indonesia, and will soon be relocating to Brazil with my family.

I hold a Master of Play Therapy from Charles Darwin University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from James Cook University, and a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from the University of Sydney. Throughout my career, I have worked in international schools, private practice, government education, and humanitarian settings. My humanitarian work with children and families affected by trauma has strengthened my commitment to creating safe, compassionate, and healing environments.

I believe every child has unique strengths, and my role is to help children, families, and educators better understand how a child learns, thinks, and experiences the world. My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and relationship-focused. Whether I am conducting an assessment, providing counseling, or consulting with parents and teachers, I strive to create a warm, collaborative environment where children feel understood, valued, and empowered to thrive.

My professional interests include psychoeducational assessment, trauma, neurodiversity, learning differences, executive functioning, emotional well-being, school transitions, and supporting internationally mobile families and Third Culture Kids.

I'm Australian, and I speak English.
