I am a Chartered Educational and Child Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland, deeply passionate about supporting neurodivergent children, young people, adults and their families.
Before training as a psychologist, I spent 18 years working as an educator across secondary, further and higher education settings in Ireland and Australia. During this time, I had the privilege of learning from Autistic and ADHD young people and adults, as well as individuals with learning, physical, social, emotional and mental health needs. Additionally, I worked extensively with international students at the University of Melbourne, supporting learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, and published research on intercultural learning in higher education.
I completed my Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology in Ireland, where I was awarded the Mary Immaculate College Doctoral Award. My doctoral research explored children’s perspectives on climate action and how they can be supported to thrive in a climate-impacted world. I have extensive experience conducting cognitive, adaptive, attainment, play-based and diagnostic assessments, alongside therapeutic approaches including Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Narrative Therapy. I also have extensive experience delivering professional development on inclusive education and wellbeing to organizations around the world.
I take a warm, practical and neuro-affirmative approach, valuing each person’s strengths, identity and lived experience. I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and welcomes clients of all backgrounds, identities and genders. I am committed to creating inclusive, collaborative and meaningful spaces where children, young people and families feel respected, understood and supported to thrive.
I am from Ireland and speak English.
