Hi! I’m Elmeka. I’m a school psychologist and counselor based in Madrid, Spain. I earned my Master of Arts (MA) and Educational Specialist (EdS) degrees in School Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and hold the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential. In 2026, I earned my Diplomate in School Neuropsychology and am pleased to offer both psychoeducational and school neuropsychological assessments.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked as a school psychologist, counselor, learning support coordinator, and safeguarding leader across the United States and international schools in Asia and Africa. I’m passionate about helping students, families, and schools better understand how each learner thinks, learns, and experiences the world, and translating that understanding into practical support.

My work is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed practices. I have particular experience supporting neurodivergent learners, students with significant or multiple disabilities, and LGBTQ+ children, adolescents, and young adults. I also work with schools to develop inclusive student support systems that recognize the cultural, linguistic, and educational contexts of internationally mobile students and families.

In addition to assessment and counseling, I provide consultation and professional learning for international schools and organizations worldwide. I enjoy leading workshops on neurodiversity and inclusive education, mental health and wellbeing, trauma-responsive practices, student support systems, and child protection and safeguarding.
