Hi, I’m Melanie! I’m a licensed school psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Central Florida, United States. I earned my Master of Arts in Educational Psychology and Educational Specialist degrees from Chapman University in Southern California. Upon completion of my graduate studies in 2009, I relocated to Central Florida to work as a school psychologist in the public school system. While working as a school psychologist, I completed additional graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2014.
Throughout my career I have conducted psychoeducational evaluations with students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12, conducted functional behavior assessments and written behavior intervention plans, provided individual and group counseling, provided in-home ABA therapy to children with autism spectrum disorders, and led numerous school- and district-wide trainings focusing on best practices for teaching students with autism spectrum disorders, behavioral data collection, function-based behavior interventions, and implementing behavior intervention plans in the general education setting. In 2020, I co-authored and co-illustrated the children’s book Pickford Panda and the Pandemic to help prepare children for returning to school during a pandemic.
I specialize in psychoeducational evaluation, tele-assessment, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, giftedness, and applied behavior analysis.
I am from the United States and I speak English.
