Kristin
Behavior Analyst (BCBA) & Learning Support Specialist
Hi, I am Kristin! My educational background is in Special Education, Educational Leadership, and Applied Behavior Analysis. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, licensed special education teacher, and Orton-Gillingham trained at the associate level. I have a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Webster University, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from St. Mary's University and a Master of Education from the University of Minnesota.
In 2010, I moved to Zagreb, Croatia, after working in a Minnesota public school for eight years. Since 2010, I have worked in Croatia and Switzerland as a learning support teacher, Literacy Coach, and Student Support Services Coordinator. My international experience, working with preschools through Grade 12 students and teachers have afforded me the opportunity to create collaborative networks with parents and the local community.
As a learning support specialist and behavior analyst, I develop trusting relationships to create a student-centered learning environment, whether that is in-person or working online. My approach and plans are individualized to meet the specific needs of neurodiverse children and adolescents. Students are encouraged to be active participants in developing and assessing their learning goals while being taught how to self-advocate for their needs in and out of the classroom. I specialize in Specific Learning Disabilities, social/emotional/behavioral difficulties, Autism Spectrum
Disorder, and ADHD.
I am from the USA and speak English
