Carilyn
Learning Support Specialist, Teacher
Hi, I'm Carilyn. I have been working with special needs children for over 15 years. I have expertise teaching students with diverse learning needs, including those with significant disabilities. My passion is to help each child discover their own unique gifts, and to support them as they build autonomy and confidence.Â
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s in Special Education, I taught for nine years at a progressive, inclusive high school in the United States. Later, I moved to Mexico to take a job as a middle school learning specialist at the American School Foundation of Monterrey. During my three years there, I experienced an abundance of personal and professional growth. In 2017, I moved to Europe to work as a middle school learning support teacher for an international school in the Czech Republic.Â
I specialize in: academic support, middle school learning support, and high school inclusion - mild/moderate and severe disabilities.Â
I’m from the United States and I speak English.
