Hi, I’m Jessica! I am a social, emotional, academic and college counselor with an M.A. in Education and Human Development, and I’m currently completing an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling. I have worked as a school counselor in international schools around the world for 14 years, moving across the globe from the UAE, then on to China, Ethiopia, Ghana and now Argentina. I am an advocate for all students and a promoter for equity. Before going abroad, I also worked for two institutions of higher learning in the United States in international and domestic student admissions.

In my role as a social and emotional counselor, I aim to assist students with issues they may be facing, working collaboratively with each student to discover their best path forward, forging through and managing the difficulties they are facing. I believe that pain and anxiety become bearable when we are able to share it with someone who really listens. I help students see their strengths and resiliency, and work from there to recognize, sit with and manage difficult emotions.

As a college counselor, I have expertise in helping students apply to universities in the US, as well as countries around the world. I help identify best fit universities for students, and proactively teach them what steps they need to take in school and outside of school in order to get to their desired location.

My specializations include counseling for stress, anxiety, transitions, parent coaching, academic and university planning, and training for inclusive classrooms.
