Jennie is a certified primary school teacher with a Master’s in Education and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work in Human Rights. She is a trained and experienced IB/PYP teacher, with international school experience. Originally from the U.S., she spent 8 years doing social work in Colorado, New York and California, before going into education. During this time, she worked at teen health clinics and taught health and relationship workshops in schools.
Her interest is in the intersection of education and social work and her passion is in integrating social and emotional learning into school curricula. She is a proponent of inquiry-based methods for learning, and teaches all primary school subjects, as well as English, Health and Ethics for secondary school. She has a background in activism and advocacy concerning youth, and sees education as holistic endeavor. Jennie is excited to continue to serve the wide array of international students here in Berlin.
