Consultant, Teacher Trainer
Jennifer has worked in the realm of social work and education for 18 years. Born and raised in the U.S., she has been based in Berlin since 2011. She holds an M.S. in Education and an M.A. in Social Work in Human Rights. Jennifer has served students in public, private, and international schools, as well as in social service settings. She is trained and certified to implement: social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum and assessments; restorative justice approaches and facilitation; and culturally responsive and anti-racist teaching methods. Her focus as an educational consultant is to position equity and SEL as a guiding force for school governance, curriculum, and culture. Her research and practice focuses on human rights-based education as a framework for re-situating school culture and practices towards belonging and engagement for every student. She is passionate about creating learning communities where all participants can grow, flourish, and be curious.
