We also assess their session setup. Before a specialist can start working with students, we conduct a background check for identity verification and criminal record.

Children’s Privacy

This section explains our information collection and parental choice procedures with respect to information provided by children under the age of 13 (“Child” or “Children”). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 without parental consent. Any information we collect from children is entered by an adult in the platform who is either a parent, clinician or school official when enrolling in services. Linden collects information about students directly from parents, who provide us with the Child’s first name, age, type of schooling, location, and additional notes for the specialists. The process of obtaining consent for children (and the validity of their consent) are governed by Article 8 of the GDPR. Student access to the platform is only granted to independent students that are above 18. If we learn that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information via our website, we will delete it in accordance with applicable law.

In addition, Children may share information about themselves during sessions with Linden specialists. Linden sessions may take place via online meetings in which video images and audio of the Children are shared with the Linden specialist. At no point of online sessions, recordings are made. No information is collected directly from Children until they are in the course session. Linden shares the name, age, location, and any notes parents have provided about their child to the Linden specialist, in order to allow the most suitable support. This information shall also be treated as part of the Parent’s Personal Data and may be shared as described in the disclosure section above for business transfers and to comply with legal requirements. Children may also share information about themselves with the specialist during the session voluntarily. Linden expects staff members to follow the Linden standards of conduct. At any time, parents can refuse to permit us to collect further Personal Data from the Children in association with their account, and can request that we delete from our records the Personal Data we have collected in connection with that account.
