Hi, I’m Gemma! I’m an integrative counselor from the UK who has experience working with parents, teachers, young children, and adolescents. My approach is integrative, which means I draw from a variety of modalities depending on the needs of the client, including drama, art, humanistic and Gestalt therapy. I have worked in primary and secondary schools in central London using child-led play techniques alongside reflective parenting sessions in collaboration with teachers and social workers.
At Linden, I work with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, attachment issues, emotional blocks, family problems, insecurity, grief, loss, and low self-esteem. I offer long-term work with clients, but have also seen that the seeds of healing can be planted in the space of a few sessions.
I have lived and worked in New York, Doha, Geneva, and Berlin and can sympathize with the challenges that children, parents, and teachers sometimes face when living and working abroad. I am also a practicing artist and reiki practitioner, which provide an important balance to my therapeutic practice.
I specialize in: anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, self-harm, attachment, and teacher support.
I’m from the UK and I speak English.
