LEARNING SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Carilyn has taught children with special needs for 15 years and has worked with students with a wide range of learning needs, including those with significant disabilities. These experiences fueled her passion to help each child discover their own unique gifts and to build autonomy and confidence.
After nine years as an educator at a progressive, inclusive high school in the USA, Carilyn was hired as a Middle School Learning Specialist at the American School Foundation of Monterrey in Mexico. There she spent 3 exciting years experiencing an abundance of “firsts”, challenges, and most importantly, personal and professional growth. In 2017, she moved to Europe to work as a Middle School Learning Support Teacher for an International School in the Czech Republic.
Carilyn has fallen in love with life abroad and continues to be a strong advocate for students. She holds a bachelor degree in Education and a master’s degree in Special Education
