Child Counsellor | Play Therapist | Academic Coach
Hi, I’m Sean!
I work as a Child Counsellor specialising in Play Therapy and as an Academic Coach and Mentor, helping children and young people navigate emotional, social, and academic challenges. Originally from Wales in the UK, I moved to Berlin in 2022 after living previously in London, Paris and Florence.
With a background in academic philosophy (BA, MA) from the University of Bristol and Birkbeck College, London, I later trained in drama, theatre, and arts-based healing at L’Ecole Philippe Gaulier (Paris) and Helikos (Italy) before going onto to to train in Play Therapy with PTUK, equipping me with creative therapeutic techniques to support children and adolescents.
My Approach as a Counsellor & Play Therapist
I believe in the power of creative methods to help children express themselves, explore emotions, and overcome challenges. Using play, drama, storytelling, drawing, sand, and clay, I support clients in working through difficulties related to:
Behaviour & conduct issues
Social & educational challenges
Emotional regulation & temper tantrums
Focus, hyperactivity, and attention difficulties
Each child’s path to overcoming challenges is unique, and my goal is to create a safe, warm, and supportive space where they can find their own way forward whilst being accepted for who they are.
Academic Coaching & Mentorship.
As an academic coach, I have worked with students aged 6 to 21 from over 20 countries, partnering with leading schools and organisations across, for example, the UK, France, Nigeria, and Hong Kong. Since 2012, I have helped students with: Academic confidence, Academic Writing, English, International Baccalaureate, IGCSE and general homework support.
I am British and I speak English.
