Hi, I'm Renate! I hold an MA in Psychology from Heidelberg University. I have worked as a psychologist in various settings, supporting clients through home visits, coaching unemployed young women and refugees, and working with young adults in residential care and an ambulatory psychotherapeutic setting.
I strongly believe in our capacity as human beings to live up to our fullest potential, discover our strengths, and have access to them. By exploring and understanding who we truly are and what motivates us, we can find the energy and courage to follow our inner calling, which can lead to awakening our true selves.
My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment that encourages students of all ages and backgrounds to explore their unique strengths and adapt to life's challenges. These challenges may include finding the motivation to study, coping with lonliness and transitions, dealing with exam stress and anxiety, or building and maintaining healthy relationships. Each individual can discover something they feel drawn to, and our talent and resourcefulness can manifest in various ways.
I value close cooperation with parents and teachers, as I believe that creating an encouraging atmosphere in the school environment greatly contributes to helping students find their path and thrive. Embracing and enjoying the richness of cultural diversity is important to me, and I firmly believe that we can all learn from each other and enhance our ability to view life from different perspectives. Originally from Germany with Afro-Panamanian roots, my love for different cultures has led me to live in France, China, and the UAE.
I am proficient in German, English, French, some Spanish, and have a basic understanding of Mandarin.
