Hi, I’m Michael! I am a qualified life coach for children, teenagers and young adults. I specialize in helping young people overcome challenges and find purpose and direction in their lives.
Originally from the UK, I hold a PhD in German-Jewish history from the University of Oxford. I have worked within education for many years, most recently at a socially disadvantaged school in Berlin. I am a qualified systemic coach (certified by the DCV) and an anti-burnout and resilience coach. Furthermore, I am employed as a job coach at a leading Berlin education institute.
At the core of my coaching mindset is the notion of unconditional positive regard. I am passionate about creating an environment in which my client feels seen and validated. Gently (but with as much fun and humor as possible!), I encourage my clients to reflect upon their goals, dreams, strengths and challenges. In addition to being a great listener, I love making my coaching sessions fun and interactive. I use techniques from mindfulness, storytelling, Gestalt Therapy and systemic theory. I also facilitate Design Your Future, a holistic coaching program for youth.
I specialize in the following themes: academic success, career exploration, motivation, overcoming perfectionism and limiting beliefs, self-exploration, masculinity, healthy relationships and social skills.
When I’m not working as a coach, I love making music, being in nature, and seeing the world.
I’m from the UK and I speak English.
What Clients Say
My husband and I would like to give you feedback on the coaching with Michael de la Bedoyere. It was the best experience for our son...He really felt comfortable and learnt strategies that were tailored to his personality. We want to thank Michael and the Linden team for the amazing work!
