Manuel
Counselor
Hi there! My name is Manuel, and I am a psychologist, counselor, and educator from Mexico. I hold a B.A. in Psychology from ITESO University in Guadalajara and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the International Psychoanalytic University in Berlin. Additionally, I am certified as a counselor by the International Psychosocial Organization (IPSO) in Berlin.
For the past five years, I have worked directly with children and teenagers in various settings, from social work to school environments, focusing on their social and emotional well-being. My goal is to help young people navigate life transitions, manage emotions, set goals, overcome anxiety, and build self-esteem. My approach is culturally sensitive, taking into account personal values and how they interact with the world around us. Together, we will identify your strengths and use them to find the best solutions for you.
My key areas of interest include immigration, culture shock, adaptation, and child and adolescent development—and how these factors interconnect. As an expat myself, I understand the challenges of adapting to new cultures, rules, and expectations.
I am originally from Mexico, but I have lived in the USA and Canada and, for the past seven years, in Berlin. I speak Spanish and English fluently.
