Hello, I'm Hayley. I'm a counselor with 10 years experience working in International Schools. I have a Bachelor's degree in Creative Expressive Therapies from the University of Derby, a Postgraduate Diploma in Counseling with Children & Young People from the University of Westhampton, and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Westminster. I have a special focus on children under 12 years old but also love working with all ages up to 25 years. I'm originally from the UK and have also greatly enjoyed living and counseling in Germany and Spain.
I work from an integrative perspective, combining Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Systemic Therapy. For students who have an interest in art or music, I work creatively by helping them use the creative arts as a means of self expression and communication. All my counseling follows a strengths-based philosophy. This means that I help children tap into their innate abilities and areas of strength in order to feel empowered and achieve their own unique potential. I also offer family therapy from a Systemic Family Therapy approach and can support families through transitions of any kind.
In addition to individual counseling, I provide professional development workshops for teachers and parents on topics such as Growth Mindset, Transitions, Building Resilience, Friendships and other aspects of children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing.
